VMware ESXi မွ DCUI အေၾကာင္း Part-1

  DCUI(Direct Console User Interface) ဆိုသည္မွာ front-end management system တစ္ခုျဖစ္ျပီး အေျခခံက်ေသာ configuration မ်ားကိုျပင္ဆင္နိုင္ရန္ နွင့္ troubleshooting option မ်ားကိုထည့္သြင္းေပးထားပါတယ္။

DCUI ၏ System Customization တြင္ Root Password ေျပာင္းရန္၊ Basic Network settings နွင့္ Trouble shooting Option မ်ား ပါ၀င္ပါတယ္။ အေသးစိတ္ေျပာမယ္ဆိုရင္ေတာ့

Configure Password - ESXi Server(host) ၏ root password ကို set/reset ျပဳလုပ္ရန္ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

 Configure Lockdown Mode - Lockdown feature ကိုေတာ့ free version မွာအသံုးျပဳနိုင္မွာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။

Configure Management Network 

• Network Adapters - မွာေတာ့ ESXi host နဲ ့ ခ်ိတ္ဆက္ထားတဲ့ Network Adapters ေတြကို ေတြ ့ျမင္ရမွာျဖစ္ျပီး ေရြးခ်ယ္ထားတဲ့ network adapter ကေတာ့ management network အတြက္ အသံုးျပဳမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။  

• IP Configuration - မွာေတာ့ ESXi host အတြက္ အသံုးျပဳမည့္ IPv4, Subnet Mask နဲ ့ Gateway တို ့ ထည့္သြင္းေပးရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

• IPv6 Configuration - ကေတာ့ ESXi host အတြက္ အသံုးျပဳမည့္ IPv6 နဲ ့ Gateway တို ့ ထည့္သြင္းေပးရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ (If necessary)

• DNS Configuration - မွာေတာ့ name ကို resolve လုပ္နိုင္ရန္အတြက္ Primary, Secondary DNS Server တို ့IP Address ကိုထည့္ေပးရမွာပါ။ ထို ့အျပင္ ESXi ၏ hostname မွာ ေရးေပးရပါမယ္။ 

• Test Management Network – ကေတာ့ management network နွင့္ connection ရမရ စမ္းသပ္ျခင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Network Restore Options

• Restore Network Settings – Networking ပတ္သက္တဲ့ Settings ေတြကို restore ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္း။
• Restore Standard Switch – Standard Switch မွ Config setting မ်ားကို restore ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္း။( ဒီ feature ကိုေတာ့ free version မွာအသံုးျပဳနိုင္မွာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။)
• Restore vDS - vDS မွ Config setting မ်ားကို restore ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္း ။( ဒီ feature ကိုေတာ့ free version မွာအသံုးျပဳနိုင္မွာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။)

Configure Keyboard - မွာေတာ့ မိမိ အသံုးျပဳလိုတဲ့ Keyboard Type ကိုေရြးခ်ယ္ေပးရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
